May Favourites | 2015

Oh my goodness, what?! How is it nearly JUNE? More so, how are we nearly half way through the year?? I'm seriously struggling to get my head around that guys. Just... what?? Anyway, I suppose one good thing about the month finishing is that I can show you what items I've been especially loving throughout May! As some of you may know, I sat all of my third year undergraduate exams during this month, so I think it goes without saying that my appearance wasn't really all too high on the agenda this month haha. I wasn't really wearing much make-up, and unfortunately, I didn't look after my skin all that well either so I don't have many skincare or make-up items to show you. Nevertheless, the items that I have included in this month's favourites are items that I've reached for on practically an everyday basis since I started using them this month, and so I thought that they deserved a mention!

Elizabeth Arden Eight-Hour-Cream Skin Protectant - I'm sure you've all heard of this little beauty at some point or another, and I have to say, I honestly don't know what I used to do before I bought this cream! It truly is amazing. I use this not only for my lips, but also for my cuticles, dry hands, burns, anything. It seems to be my go to product at the moment and it once again has become an essential daily carry-around.

Clarins Eau des Jardins Perfume - If you'd like to know more about this perfume, I did in fact write a post on it last summer, which you can find here (< link). This is my all time favourite fragrance, so, enough said I think! I decided to feature it in this months favourites though as I've just been reaching for this so much more during these past few weeks now that we're finally seeing some sunnier weather! I'm guessing that I will continue to use this fragrance throughout the rest of spring, summer... and well, lets face it. autumn and winter too! haha

Josie Maran Argan Colour Stick in 'Glow' - As you can see from my review here (< link), I wasn't all too sure about these colour sticks back in the winter, as the formulation really didn't set well in the cold. The product would go so solid it would sort of tug on my face a little and, as a result, it was quite difficult to achieve a natural look with. Although, now that the weather has warmed up a little, I've found this beauty far easier to use and it adds such a beautiful, yet subtle glow (which I have definitely needed after all the stress this past month)! Another thing, this blush just will not budge, which is especially great if you're running a busy schedule and don't have the time or patience to top up throughout the day!

Maybelline ColorSensational Lipstick in '530: Fatal Red' - I absolutely looooove this red lipstick and I have no idea why I never hear more people talking about it! They've finally brought it back in stock too which is fab - I was a little worried I'd finish this bullet and have to hunt for another red lipstick! I will be writing a review purely on this product at some point in the near future, so I won't go into too much detail, but all I can say is that this it makes for the most perfect bright red lip, and I've really been loving lightly dabbing this all over my lips and blending it out to add some subtle colour to my everyday face! You can see me wearing it here (< link).

Nail Paint by Barry M in '310: Mushroom' - I'm really not one to wear nail polish, but every now and again I'll pick up a shade, fall in love, and use it none stop until I get bored and go back to rocking the bare nail look again. Earlier this week I posted a photo of me wearing this polish, which you can see here (< link). I wanted something very unassuming to suit the natural theme of that feature, and as I was tidying through my room I rediscovered this polish which I used to be absolutely obsessed with when I was younger! Yes, it is a brown, which might not be everybody's cup of tea, but it possesses a very slight mauve undertone which I really do love and it definitely helps to soften up any harshness of that brown up. Yes, I have only been wearing this shade during the last week of May, but I am definitely planning on wearing it at least throughout the next few weeks ahead so I felt it worth mentioning!

& that's everything! I really hope you had a good month this May, and I'd love to hear about some of the items that you've been loving this month too!
See you tomorrow,
Hannah x
