Woweeeeee this post is so long over-due! I do apologise. Even though a lot of people said that they wanted to see a birthday haul from me this year, I still was umm-ing and ahh-ing about it. I personally love reading 'Birthday Hauls' myself, but I do realise they're not everyone's thing and can be taken quite badly. In the end, I decided that it's only right for me to Blog what I myself enjoy reading, so I hope that that's understood and this isn't seen as some sort of 'showing off party'. I had a really lovely birthday this year for my 21st, and received some gorgeous, gorgeous gifts - most of which I had been lusting after for the looooongest time now, so I'm thrilled (to say the least!!) to now have them in my possession. Everything is just so pretty, and I practically treat them like my babies, haha!
Candles - Oooeeee! I really do love candles, but I have to say I'm definitely not one of those people that has one lit 24/7 and buys a load every few weeks. I think they're actually pretty expensive, so let's just say I've trained myself to make a candle last, aha! I'm so pleased to have another 'Black Cherry' Yankee Candle as it has to be my favourite scent of theirs; as well as 'Freshly Cut Roses' which has a beautiful, floral scent that brightens up any room.
Beauty & Fragrance - You're reading my Blog. You don't need me to tell you how utterly excited I was to unwrap these!! I had never tried anything from L'Occitane before apart from the Shea Butter hand cream (reviewed here), so I was super happy to have been given the Nuile De Dolce Shower Oil, and Milk Concentrate body butter (which I have been in LOVE with for years but never had the guts to splurge for it!). So far: I absolutely love both and you will most definitely be seeing a review for each individual item coming your way some point soon! Now onto fragrance: ahhhhhhh! I actually own a Chanel perfume?! That's insane. My mum has a pretty expensive perfume taste, and whenever I see a Chanel perfume I think of her. This scent is far more suited to my taste over her coveted No.5, and I've been wearing it everyday since. Sooo yummy!
One Day More - Onto the big huge wowza for the day - my parents took me to see Les Miserables! It's sort of turned into a bit of a tradition for us to go to the theatre for someone's birthday, and clearly my love for the Les Mis soundtrack projected onto my parents aha! I'd never seen the show on the West End before so I was so excited and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also picked up this groovy mug too because, well, mugs. (Currently not being use as a mug: currently being used to hold sharpies).
Jewellery - I didn't picture them here as I thought it would be a fun idea to write a separate post covering my new jewellery pieces. But I received a gorgeous gorgeous ruby and diamond ring off my parents, and an utterly beautiful opal ring off my grandparents. Everyone in my family likes to gift jewellery - especially on important birthdays - as it means that that person will always have something to keep from the day. I'm wearing them both now and every time I look at them I'm filled with happy thoughts from the day!
Overall I'm so so grateful for everything I received and I still squeal with excitement every time I see each item because honestly? if I was to have written my 'perfect' wish list, every single one of these would have been on that list. We ended up finishing the day with me blowing out candles on a fabulous Patisserie Valerie chocolate gateau cake, and that was it! The perfect day. Ah, now I've written this I want to do it all again! :') I really hope you all are well, and I'll see you tomorrow!
